The Background
Scotland's Commissioner for Children and Young People (SCCYP) was set up as part of a group of four UK commissions to protect and advocate for the rights of children and young people. SCCYP tendered the development of its website as it needed a more young people friendly site to communicate with its key audience.
Loved working with the guys at Contrapositive - their passion and enthusiasm kept the website project interesting for us. They listened really well and adapted to our ever-changing ideas to get exactly what we wanted! Couldn't be happier with the process and end result! Thank you :) Hala el Ousta, SCCYP Youth Panel
The Solution
- Contrapositive won the three way pitch to produce a new website for SCCYP.
- The site was designed in close consultation with a representative steering group to ensure that their views and tastes were catered for, maximising the site's chances of success.
- The site was originally built on version 4 of Contrapositive's site management platform called CORE.
- It has recently been upgraded to Merge, the social CMS (and version 5 of our platform) to enable SCCYP to take advantage of the systems social features, connecting with children and young people across Scotland wherever they are.
