The Background
- Childnet had produced a range of presentations to help adults parents and children understand the safety issues that affect them whilst online
- The presentations had proved a very effective method of communicating this message with distribution of CD-ROMs now in the millions
- Childnet now wanted to produce a presentation for one of the most vulnerable groups, keystage 3 pupils
The Solution
- Designed and built a new targeted interactive Flash presentation in partnership with Childnet and ISC2(c)
- Using our knowledge of this audience and the issues, we created a vibrant and engaging presentation that would be easy for a teacher to present to a class
- The resource helps pupils identify the positive things they can achieve when using the internet, gain an awareness of the potential dangers they face online, and facilitate discussion regarding strategies to implement safe and secure online practices in order to avoid these risks
